Disability support work today. Counselling and coaching as I complete my qualifications. Built on lived experience as much as theory.

What I do now

I work as a disability support worker in Melbourne. Person-centred, trauma-informed, focused on dignity and autonomy. I support people with diverse physical, psychosocial, and cognitive needs - helping with daily living, community access, building routines, and the slow work of feeling more like yourself again.

I'm not just doing a job. I do this work because I know what it's like to need someone to actually show up. To not be talked down to. To be treated as a person, not a case.

Currently completing a Graduate Certificate in Counselling at Torrens University, with plans to progress to the Masters of Counselling.

Counselling and coaching - joining the waitlist

I'm currently a student completing my counselling qualifications with Torrens University. Once qualified, I'll be offering counselling sessions at a reduced rate - Zoom or in person - as a stepping stone into full private practice.

Why this work

I had a career once. I lost it. I spent a long time at the bottom and longer still finding my way back. Recovery, late-diagnosed ADHD, the slow rebuild of a life.

The same things that made the fall feel inevitable are what make this work make sense to me now. I know what it's like to be the person who needed help and didn't know how to ask. I know what it's like to be talked at, not with. I know what stigma feels like from the inside.

That doesn't make me a counsellor on its own - that's why I'm doing the training. But it does make me someone who shows up to this work with my eyes open.
